From the original: “This dance is one from the 15th century and is said to be danced on the occasion of the visit of Mary Queen of Scots to ‘Toward Castle’. Collected from Allan McDonald of Truro, Nova Scotia.”
However, from issue 2387, the above should be 16th not 15th century. The original must be an error since Mary Queen of Scots lived 1542–1587.
Toward Castle is the seat of the Clan Lamont.
