This is the 8th set of dances collected by Mary Isdale MacNab. They were taught at the 1964 summer school and published around that time as a leaflet by the RSCDS prior to the subsequent combined editions.
The first two dances were the ones actually taught by Mary MacNab (hence the title). The last two dances were apparently just added to this as a convenient publication.
The tune to “Ms Nichol…” in this publication is headed with the dance name. The tune (unnamed) shown yet is “Mrs Compton of Carham-Hall”, as used by Muriel Johnstone on her recordings for that dance.
