Hi,

Further to my message yesterday it seems likely that this tune was composed by James Shand (husband of Annie Shand and unrelated to Jimmy Shand).

can you help, please.

Where have you found a connection or hint between tune and James Shand?

I have only found a notice on a Beltona LP label from 1949 marking the tune as traditional.

Following the researches of Iain Matcham and Alan Burn I change the composer from Jimmy Shand Senior to James Shand, Husband of Annie Shand who was the leader of a successful SCD band in the early years of 
last century.
