Assigned to

Priority
Normal

Description

the dance is correctly listed as a jig, but the recommended tune is incorrectly given as The King's Reel -- the correct tune is, of course, Coming through the Rye

I have added the tune "Comin' through the Rye", but want to leave it to our musicians to decide whether "The King's Reel" should be deleted. All three SCDDB-listed recordings in which this tune appears are Reels, but it is listed for three dances, a Strathspey, a Reel and this Jig. Most odd. Eric

This is probably a typo considering that The King's Reel is the tune for the dance <<ddd:Capelthwaite>>, which happens to occupy the page spread preceding that for <<ddd:Coming Through the Rye>> in the SF Collection (volume 2), where both these dances are published.

It is safe to remove The King's Reel from the record for Coming Through the Rye. I just did it, so we can consider the issue fixed.
