The <<ddpub:George Bell Collection>> has this as “George Work”. I wonder whether that is a mistake or whether that is the actual title of the tune and everybody else has it wrong.

Good question. I get NO hits on "George Work" at all. "George Wark" was an existing person; there is some other tune of the same name; spotify and all available sources list the tune as "George Wark" (which doesn't say much); John Mitchell based a dance on this or the other tune "George Wark" (book 12). We might never resolve this unless a revised version of The George Bell Collection corrects a mistake made earlier. Tendency is to keep it as you already did: "George Wark" as presumed correct title, with "George Work" as alias.
