Has this dance be properly checked? The source text from "8x32". reads:

1-4 1s+2s Set & Cross RH
5-8 Set & 3/4 Turn Both Hands to face each other in the middle (Man facing down, ladies facing up).
9-16 1s+2s dance reel of 4 in the middle
17-20 1s+2s Set to each other in the middle & turn RH to the own Side.
21-24 1s+2s Set & 3/4 Turn Both Hands in the middle (facing up), ready for...
25-32 1s+2s dance Allemande.

This description is inconsistent.

[1-8] On [4] the position is (1x,2x). So on [8] the position is 1W 1M 2W 2M all facing P. This contradicts the instructions.

[9-16] Reel4 Brings everyone back to the same positions as on [8]

[17-20] This can be daced, but as the M start are below the W the turn on [19-20] is only 1/4 turn, it's an awkwardly slow turn if it requires 2 full bars.

[21-24] After the 3/4 turn all are on the midline, M below W. Even if they face up it is an impossible position for starting the allemande for [25-32].

My conclusion is that this dance should be deleted from SCDDB till we have the correct instructions.

The heading "Lists" shows the dance was on 13 event programmes, including one in St Petersburg led by Anselm.
Anselm, do you have the instructions, or can you get hold of them? Then we can make a correct e-crib.

The "Contributed Crib" is also wrong and should be deleted.
The diagram is missing.

It may be too late in the evening for me, but as far as I can tell, after “set and cross, set and turn 3/4” the men are in the middle facing down and the ladies are in the middle facing up, just like the instructions claim. They start their turn on 7-8 on opposite sides and effectively go clockwise past their original places and then on a bit.

It looks like a perfectly cromulent dance to me.

OOPS. It was too late in the evening for ME. I got confused. Please excuse my stupid errors.

I did identify one error correctly. It appears both in the original and the Minicrib. The turn on [23-24] is a full turn, not a 3/4 turn. It brings both couples to their own side, in the middle, ready for the allemande.

Hm. I disagree here and would rather see the diagram changed. The turn starts from the sidelines. The couples finish in the center facing up after the turn, that still makes the turn ONCE ROUND. As we see a few bars before, the 3/4 turn would lead to a midline, not a starting point for the Allemande. Can someone second that?
