I'm preparing a lesson on the dances from the Menzies MS 1749. This dance does not appear in the MS. Book 7 attributes this as "A Perthshire dance. Collected in the Borders". There are five dances in Book 7 which do appear in the Menzies MS: Ye're Welcome, Charly Stuart The Priest and His Books Ye'll Aye Be Welcome Back Again Lady Mary Menzies' Reel The Menzies' Rant And, of course, the RSCDS published a number of other dances from the MS, but the Braes of Tulliemet should not be attributed to that source. Regards Marjorie McLaughlin

_Assigned_ changed to »EricFerguson« (previously »None«) _Disposition_ changed to »Fixed« (previously »New«) Deviser set to "(unknown)". The source information has been added as "Extra Info". Perhaps someone who has a copy of this MS could check all the entries. Perhaps there are other dances in the MS that are not yet listed as such in SCDDB. Many thanks, Marjorie. Eric
