*In my files I found this "Tribute to Our Teacher" and thought it would be a fitting way to finish this book. This little ditty was made up by some dancers in 1987 at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, for their teacher, Bob Millar, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, who was strict on detail according to them: (verses 3, 4, 5)* For Allemande hold watch out or he'll scold; There's no room in his mind for suggestion When he has just read what Miss Milligan said A Quibble is out of the question. When Bob's teaching us Double Triangles, Which the class very frequently mangles, Miss Milligan high on her cloud in the sky, Is a vision he usually dangles. It's Miss M that we're trying to please, Though we hope Mister M won't sneeze, 'Cause we're sore in each joint As we balance and point While we're trying to dance up a breeze.
Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (4). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.
