Note: Throughout “in” means towards the middle (down from 1pl and up from 4pl) and “out” is the opposite way
On 2nd chord, 3rd and 4th couples change sides.

1–

1c+4c cross RH and cast in (2c+3c step out) ; 1c+4c ½ LH turn into ½ LHA. Finish in a St. Andrews cross, LHJ in the centre, RHJ with cnr.

9–

1c+4c double spoke:- set RHJ with each cnr in turn, rotating one place cclw each time (2 bars per corner).

17–20

4M followed by 4W and 1M followed by 1W dance out the M / W side and cast to the right while{4} 2c+3c cross RH and set. Finish with 4c (1c) side by side at the top (bottom) of the dance, facing down(up) , men on the left of their partners.

21–24

All change place RH up/down (2W with 3M, 4W with 1M, 4M with 1W, 2M with 3W), 1W followed by 1M & 4W followed by 4M cast to their right and in while{2} 3rd and 2nd couples set. Finish with 3M, 4W, 4M, 2W (on M side) facing 3W, 1M, 1W, 2M (on W side).

25–28

All cross RH with person opposite, 4M followed by 4W and 1M followed by 1W cast to the right while{2} 3c+2c set. Finish with 1c at the top facing 4c at the bottom, men on the left.

29–32

All change place RH with person opposite (3W with 2M, 1W with 4M, 1M with 4W, 3M with 2W), 4c+1c separate and cast in while{2} 2c+3c set. (to 2,4,1x,3x).

(On bar 19–20, 23–24, 27–28, 31–32 2c+3c set as in “J.B. Milne”, one bar facing the person with whom they have just crossed, and one bar facing the person with whom they are about to cross. On bar 20, 24, 28 the dancers form lines, the corners forming a big square).
