This dance is not to be confused with the <<ddd:Brudenell Jig>>, also by Brenda Burnell, published by the RSCDS in <<ddpub:Second Book of Graded Scottish Country Dances, A>>.

The dance is named after the Brudenell Evening Institute, Leeds, UK.  The deviser's husband taught Scottish Country Dancing there, and eventually became head of the Brudenell Evening Centre.
