'StateBlock' object has no attribute 'is_code_block'
Solo Highland man/ woman dance for 8 steps in 9/8 jig. According to D. G. MacLennan in Highland and Traditional Scottish Dances (1950), it originated in Perthshire after 1746. For competitive purposes the dance is usually danced to a completely different tune, a retreat march (also in 9/8 time, but not a jig) called <<ddt:Battle of the Somme#6343>>, by P/M Willie Lawrie.

Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (?). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.

Recordings whose titles are in italics are not explicitly linked to this dance but have been identified by the database based on the type, bar count, and recommended tune(s) of the dance.
