“Written in fond memory of Connie Grainger, past president of the Hereford Branch.”
Additional information from the deviser:
Connie was a traditionalist and disliked the many new dance sequences which complicated her final years’ dancing pleasure as she could [not?] get her head around many of them. This dance uses no ‘new’ sequences. Moreover, when she had to stop dancing through ill-health, she still got pleasure from watching, and laughing when mistakes were made; one unusual move in the dance provides many opportunities for such laughter.
