From the notes: "It is in Morpeth that the Hunter Valley Branch of the RSCDS holds a weekend school to mark the start of the dancing season. Morpeth was at one time an important river port and terminus for sea traffic from Sydney. It boasts many buildings from the early 19th century many of which have been restored."
