A variant, created inadvertently by Mel Briscoe, has now been given its own name “Wes Clindinning's Hornpipe” as it has become popular in its own right (see there for more information).
The dance denoted as “Belfast Hornpipe (New Way)” at https://dances.e-cribs.org/var/Cincinnati_Demo_Dances_2007-2008.pdf (there also attributed to Mel Briscoe) is not identically to either of the two dances above. However, all three dances only differ in bars [25–32].
