##RSCDS-DI:omit-type

Introduction to the description: This is an occupational dance for four couples in a longwise set. If possible, the dance should be danced to "mouth music". The step throughout is a running step with a distinctly marked beat on lhe first beat of each bar. Arms are linked instead of Joining hands. Where possible the movements are phrased to eight bars of music, but when this is found too difficult, the dancers keep running on the spot until they can start a new figure with the beginning of a musical phrase.

Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (4). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.

Recordings whose titles are in italics are not explicitly linked to this dance but have been identified by the database based on the type, bar count, and recommended tune(s) of the dance.
