The title comes from a favorite song by Mason Williams which has the line "A gift of song is a gift of love" in it. When I heard of the passing of Roger Whittaker I realized that over the last few years several of my absolute favorite singers have died and I wrote this as an appreciation of all the joy they have given me (and still do) with their music. [Don Williams, Johnny Crawford, Jim Glaser, Gordon Lightfoot, Ed Ames, and Roger Whittaker]
Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (3). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.
