I wrote this dance because I like playing with set and rotate for 3 couples and the snowball grand chain. When I wrote it I was watching a documentary on Gordon Lightfoot where he mentioned one of his favorite songs he wrote is Song for a Winter’s Night. Since we first danced this on a very cold winter night, I thought this title appropriate.
