I like ladies' chain and am always searching for ways to get first couple back on their own sides after the figure. The non-standard progression works, but is a bit 'interesting' and my local class recommended it be listed as a 3-couple set dance after trying it out.

This dance was written on the Winter Solstice – thus the name.

Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (3). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.

Recordings whose titles are in italics are not explicitly linked to this dance but have been identified by the database based on the type, bar count, and recommended tune(s) of the dance.
