Devised by Sue Ronald as an opening dance for a ‘Not dancing with your partner’ class at the New Hampshire Highlands Weekend, August 2016. I saw the movement described in bars 1-8 and 17-24 in the dance Pudsey Bear by Louise Macdougall. ‘Detour chase’ is my name for the movement. The advance and retire of bars 25-28 symbolize the Reunion. Music: Any lively single jig
Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (4). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.
