The notes say that "Abbot House is the oldest surviving building in Dunfermline, other than the Abbey, and dates back to at least 1561. It was one of the few buildings to survive the great fire of Dunfermline in 1624, and over its history has been (amongst other things) a town house, a metal workshop and a naval officers' club. In the 1970s, it was used as a doctor's surgery, where the deviser's mother was based as a student nurse."

Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (1). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.

Recordings whose titles are in italics are not explicitly linked to this dance but have been identified by the database based on the type, bar count, and recommended tune(s) of the dance.
