Originally known as The Hay Polka.

From <<https://my.strathspey.org/dd/issue/2382/|issue 2382>>: The original 200 bar dance was in 6/8 Polka tempo where polkaing around the set in ballroom hold was a main feature. The dance was changed to what we have today by Miss Milligan not entirely we are told with Mrs MacNab’s approval.
