The printed dance sheet states: “This is a Shetland square dance for four couples. (…) The music is of a slow reel rhythm and because of the Duke of Edinburgh’s connection with the Royal Navy, it has a hornpipe lilt. To a Scottish Country Dancer the Shetland steps are danced low on the balls of the feet, the setting step similar to the Strathspey step but slightly faster.”
