The *Tallahassee* was a Confederate ship which came into Halifax harbour for repairs during the Civil War and snuck out through Eastern Passage with the help of an Eastern Passage pilot, Jock Fleming, thus evading the Union ships waiting at the mouth of the harbour. We dance it during Tallahassee Days every year.
