Spitbank Fort is in the Solent between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. One summer evening Southsea Reel Club went out by ferry to the Fort and held a Ceilidh. Figs 1 and 3 represent the ferry journey showing the currents and eddies in the sea and around the fort. Fig 2 represents the Ceilidh and dancing on the Fort.
