This dance is dedicated to Mary Brandon, longtime Dance Mistress of the Los Angeles Branch Demonstration Team. She was an inspiring and demanding teacher, who taught me the value of learning Scottish Country Dancing well. She encouraged me to become a teacher and supported me in my endeavor to do so.
The formation Corner Change & Chase is a variation on one Mary devised for Founders' Reel, a dance commemorating the founding of the Los Angeles Branch, which is published in her book “Dances With a Difference, Vol I".
