This dance celebrates the four RSCDS branches of Southern California, and the many memorable dances and workshops they collaborate to sponsor. Bars 9-16 are meant to resemble the branches of a tree sprouting up from the bottom of the set. Cooperation of the four “branches” helps to make this formation work. Bars 13-16 should be a smooth curving figure for couples 1, 2 and 3. When they reach the sideline, they should drop hands, then continue curving, cast off one place with the lower dancer of each couple leading the way and crossing to their own side. Their partners follow but don't cross over. It should be a smooth, continuous curving 4-bar fig
Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (4). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.
