For Chrissie Osborne on her 70th birthday

Devised by Robert Senior with much assistance from Margaret, Eileen, Amanda , Oliver and John.

This dance was devised for Chrissie Osborne for her 70th birthday - for which she held a magnificent Party Dance, with music by a six-piece Nicol McLaren & the Glencraig Band. A wonderful occasion befitting a wonderful lady - and over £1200 was raised for Cancer UK. The recommended recording for this dance is Marian Anderson’s Set of Jigs on the Belfast Diamond Jubilee CD. This set includes tunes which Marian plays for Father Connelly’s Jig and bars 9-24 bear many similarities to movements in Father Connelly’s Jig (one of Chrissie’s favourite dances).

Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (8). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.

Recordings whose titles are in italics are not explicitly linked to this dance but have been identified by the database based on the type, bar count, and recommended tune(s) of the dance.
