Written to celebrate Kathleen McAdam who received the Scroll of Honour from the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society in 2007. Kathleen’s patient teaching, encouragement, and infectious good humor have enriched the San Francisco branch and Scottish dancing worldwide. For many years she has taught a youth class and this dance is intended to be suitable for young dancers.

One of Kathleen’s favorite figures is hands round and back due to its sociability.
Those who know her will recall that her talk-throughs for dances are sometimes 8 bars short until she remembers rights and lefts. Tongue firmly planted in cheek, I’ve included rights and lefts here. But Kathleen, don’t worry, only the corners dance it; the 1s don’t have to remember rights and lefts at all.

Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (8). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.

Recordings whose titles are in italics are not explicitly linked to this dance but have been identified by the database based on the type, bar count, and recommended tune(s) of the dance.
