»Devised by Rod Downey, Wellington, New Zealand. TAC is a great place to meet dancers from all around the world, and similarly great musicians. At the 2004 TAC Summer School I met Mara Shea, from Raleigh, North Carolina and admired her fiddle playing greatly. Mara played with Bobby and Laird Brown and Lisa Scott on several nights at that School. Mara generously gifted me some of her CDs from her group ›The Elftones‹, and I was inspired to write a dance based on one of the tunes, a stirring reel called ›Highlander's Farewell‹.«
