This summer my group has had a large number of new dancers join us for regular dancing. This has led to some interesting problems as often they outnumber the regular dancers. Recently we tried a dance with consecutive half reels and realized half figures are hard for those still learning timing. Barbara Parks mentioned she’d like a dance of all half figures that she’d name Havoc. I liked the idea and came up with this dance and a slightly modified name. I chose the music because it sounds busy and carries with it a slightly frenetic feeling, even though it isn’t any faster than other reels.
