It is likely that this is an English Country Dance, as it is on Jimmy Shand’s English Folk Dances LP from 1973. On searching, there are 3 versions of it as an English Country Dance available, all for 2 couples and 32 bars and reel time (one says 2/4 meter and Rant Steps). It was published in Kennedy’s Community Dances Manual, the EFDSS Community Dance Manual and included with the recording Folkcraft 337–011A. All the descriptions are the same formations, though differently described.
