"For Pat Batt and all the other two-sex Scottish Dancers who have to dance on either side of the set.  The dance was inspired by Pat's poem "<<https://www.rscdslondon.org.uk/_files/ugd/580b0a_f8361efbdfbe4240a2890f102535430b.pdf|The Ladies Man>>".  

Note: there is a misprint in the description published in the *5th Carnforth Collection* in bars 25-32 - it should say 3rd & 2nd couples, and at the same time 1st and 4th couples pass right shoulders to start.
