The dedication reads: for Alice Maclean to cure her of the Millennium Bug. Additional notes from *Greenburn Book 3:* 1. Spinning is permitted in bars marked with double underlining [that means in bars 1-8, 13-16 and 29-32] 1. Teviot Bridge (RSCDS Book 5 No.1) starts with 1st couple turning with the right hand two and a half times, but in that dance, they do not move down. 1. The reels of three are similar to those in Thomas Glovers Reel. 1. During the Winter Break in Aviemore, Alice said she was tired of people spinning so much in dances that they spoiled the phrasing. George Meikle suggested that they needed a spin doctor and so this dance was born. (Is the spin doctor also an obstetrician?) (Strangely, when they were told that spinning was permissible, the dancers did not spin.)
Table rows with a green background denote recordings starting with one of the recommended tunes and the usual number of repetitions for the dance (8). A yellow background means a recording with one of the recommended tunes but a non-standard number of repetitions. Recordings with a red background use a different tune and possibly a non-standard number of repetitions.
